Chris Hemsworth looked sharp in a suit as he attended the premiere of Extraction 2 in Spain on Wednesday. 

The Bryon Bay-based hunk, 39, hit the red carpet in Madrid wearing a black blazer and trousers and a crisp white shirt. 

Chris, who portrays black market mercenary Tyler Rake in the films, looked every inch the Hollywood star as he posed for photos and met his adoring fans. 

Chris was mobbed by fans and happily signed autographs for the crowd. 

Extraction 2, the follow up to 2020’s smash hit Extraction, is set to be released on June 16.

Chris’ character Tyler Rake is back and ready for his next mission in the film, which also stars Idris Elba.

Back in 2020, Extraction became the number one film on Netflix and had 90 million households in its first four weeks. 

Extraction follows former SASR operator-turned-mercenary Tyler Rake as he is recruited to rescue the son of India’s biggest drug lord.

The son – played by actor Rudhraksh Jaiswal – is being held for hefty ransom by a rival drug lord in Bangladesh.

But when Rake attempts to complete the mission, things go terribly awry as corruption and greed come to light.

Chris is in Spain with wife Elsa Pataky, 46, who hails from Madrid, but she was not believed to be in attendance at the premiere.

Elsa looked incredible in a flowing red dress as she hit the red carpet at the Elle Eco Awards in Madrid on Wednesday. 

The work trip comes after the actor announced that his film career will take a back seat following a discovery he’s at risk of Alzheimer’s disease.

Chris, who recently lost his grandfather Martin to Alzheimer’s at age 83, and spoke to British GQ magazine this week about how he wants to be remembered when it’s his time to go.

Hemsworth said he was touched to hear people talking fondly about Martin at his funeral, and hopes the same will happen for him when he dies.

‘My uncle specifically said, “he’s remembered as a good bloke”. And if he knew, or if someone told him that’s how he would be remembered, how incredibly proud he would feel,’ the Thor star explained.

‘It made me think about my own life. And it wasn’t about career or anything. It was about being remembered as someone who was good and kind and contributed something of value.’

The Rush actor told Vanity Fair last November he has decided to take ‘time off’ after filming a confronting episode about death on his new Disney+ docu-series Limitless.
