Hemsworth told BW magazine that he relocated his family to Australia because living in LA felt “suffocating and overwhelming”.

He added that his wife was on board with the move as soon as she experienced his home country. “I just needed to bring her here and then it was hard to get her to leave,” he said.

Hemsworth revealed he likes being surrounded by people who aren’t in the entertainment industry, and also wanted his kids to grow up Australian.

“The laid-back, warm, welcoming attitude is something my wife instantly responded to and that I wanted my kids to embody. I wanted my kids to be influenced by that sort of attitude as well,” he said.
