According to Billboard , multiple college courses studying Taylor Swift have been added to the 2024 curriculum, including at one of the world’s most famous universities: Harvard.

Starting next spring, Harvard University and the University of Florida will take an in-depth look at the 33-year-old pop star, respectively, through the classes “Taylor Swift and Her World” and “Audio Storytelling.” music with Taylor Swift and other iconic female artists”.

Harvard University and the University of Florida are just two of the latest schools to offer Taylor Swift studies courses, following in the footsteps of institutions like the University of Texas, Arizona State University, Stanford University, and more.

The rapidly growing trend of Taylor Swift-themed classes stems from a groundbreaking New York University course taught by Rolling Stone writer Brittany Spanos. This course opened early last year.

Soon after, singer  Anti-Hero  also received an honorary doctorate from the university and spoke at the commencement ceremony in spring 2022.

According to Entertainment Weekly , these courses, while not uniform, tend to use a dissection of Taylor Swift’s work as a starting point for criticism and analysis of broader cultural issues and standards. .

This news comes right after the singer ended her Eras Tour with the final three shows in São Paulo, Brazil.
