The Lament Configuration is one of the most iconic horror movie props of all time. Picture this opening scene: while rummaging in the Springfield Mystery Spot, Homer comes across an intricate gold box. He impulsively buys it despite the shopkeeper’s warnings. After hours trying to solve the puzzle at home, Homer finally cracks it. The room fills with an eerie light as the gateway to hell opens in the Simpson’s living room.
