Taylor Swift injected the 2021 Grammy Awards with a healthy dose of flower power when she debuted a floral mini dress on the red carpet.
The 31-year-old country star–turned–pop sensation was among the most nominated performers at the ceremony with six nods, going on to make herstory as the first female artist to win the Album of the Year Grammy Award three times.
Taylor was still riding high from 2020, when she reinvented her sound with her Folklore album and dug further into the new artistic territory with her surprise follow-up record Evermore.
Taylor looked festive in her Oscar de la Renta floral dress, which featured long sleeves that swallowed up her hands.
The sheer outfit was adorned with dozens of pastel embroidered flowers.
The 5ft11in musician’s short dress showcased her toned legs, culminating in pale pink open-toe Louboutin pumps with ribbons wrapped around her ankles.
She spiced up her look with some low-key Cathy Waterman jewelry.
Taylor wore bangs and had her blonde locks tied back, with individual strands framing her impeccably made-up face.
The Cardigan singer also honored some of her recent and longtime musical collaborators on the red carpet.
She posed with her two key collaborators on Folklore and Evermore, The National’s guitarist and songwriter Aaron Dessner and songwriter and superproducer Jack Antonoff.
Dessner co-wrote and produced a majority of the songs on both albums, while Antonoff, who co-wrote and produced on previous albums, also worked on a handful of tracks.
Taylor also showed love for the behind-the-scenes talent by posing with Jonathan Low and Laura Sisk.
The two split recording engineering duties on Folklore and Evermore, while Low also mixed the albums.
Taylor received six nominations for the evening for Album of the Year (for Folklore), Song of the Year (Cardigan), Best Pop Solo Performance (also for Cardigan), Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (for Exile with guest vocalist Bon Iver), Best Pop Vocal Album (Folklore) and Best Song Written For Visual Media for her Cats soundtrack song Beautiful Ghosts.
Antonoff was also nominated for Producer of the Year for his extensive work with her.
Taylor lost Song of the Year to H.E.R. for I Can’t Breathe, Best Pop Vocal Performance to her ex Harry Styles’ Watermelon Sugar and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s Rain On Me, while her Cats soundtrack song lost out to Billie Eilish’s No Time To Die.
However, Swift later made history on Sunday when she cliched the gong for Album of the Year, becoming the first female artist to win that particular Grammy three times.
She previously won Album of the Year for 1989 in 2016, and for Fearless back in 2010.
During the show, Antonoff and Dessner joined Taylor for an intimate performance in a cabin set of her single Cardigan, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
