At the spacious villa of superstar Lionel Messi (Barcelona), he and his wife along with the family of teammate and close friend Luis Suarez had fun together. But according to the British and Spanish press, these close friends are still discussing where to go after leaving the Catalan club.

Television cameras captured the scene of former Liverpool star Luis Suarez driving his wife into the courtyard of Lionel Messi’s family’s Castelldefels villa. Notably, the day Suarez’s family visited and had fun at Messi’s house also coincided with the day that the owner of 6 Golden Ball titles  sent a fax announcing that he wanted to leave Barca on a free transfer .

Not long ago, Luis Suarez expressed his dissatisfaction and discomfort when new coach Ronald Koeman announced that he was no longer in his plans and was free to find a new destination. So, it seems that Koeman’s exclusion of Suarez influenced Messi’s decision.

Compared to Suarez, Messi’s situation is much more complicated. Messi and Barca may even have to meet in court to resolve the contract. Barca side argued that the deadline for Messi to leave freely has expired since June 2020. Now, he must focus on preparing for the new season.

If Messi wants to leave Nou Camp, the partners must meet the contract release clause of up to 700 million euros. At this time, Barca fans are asking president Josep Maria Bartomeu to resign and expressing their hope that Messi will continue to stay.

Reports in Spain suggest that Messi is getting ready to give an eloquent speech to his fans in the coming days. The implication seems to be that he will leave Barca after many years of association.

Both Suarez and Messi are being sought after by Europe, but not many clubs can afford to recruit this duo. While Messi receives attention from Inter Milan, Man United, Juventus, PSG, and Man City, Suarez also attracts Ajax, Inter, Juventus, PSG or Atletico Madrid. Many Premier League fans dream of the prospect that Messi and Suarez will play here next season.
