Cristiano Ronaldo Jr recently chatted with young streamer Rakai and got an interesting question: “Is Lamine Yamal better than Cristiano Ronaldo?”

The Portuguese star’s son has admitted that, for now, the answer is yes — but stressed that there is still a long way to go before the Barcelona youngster can be compared to anyone.
CR7’s eldest son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., is slowly carving out his own identity. He has played and scored for Portugal’s youth teams and is becoming a household name on social media. This week, he spent the day with American livestreamer Rakai, who asked him a series of football-related questions.
During a car ride, Rakai asked Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. who his favorite player was. “My father,” the young Portuguese replied matter-of-factly.
Cristiano Ronaldo Jr then made a rather humorous, albeit not entirely comfortable, comparison: “Is Lamine Yamal better than Cristiano Ronaldo?”
Honestly, Ronaldo Jr. replied that right now, yes — but these two things can’t be considered statistics yet: “Right now, he’s better, but Yamal hasn’t won anything yet. He’s very good, but he hasn’t won anything yet.”
Rakai was clearly taken aback by CR7’s son’s reaction. Just a few weeks ago, Cristiano Ronaldo extended his contract with Al-Nassr until 2027, ensuring he will play until he is at least 42. CR7 is still breaking records and now his fans can say that even Lionel Messi cannot compare. But if Lamine Yamal is emerging as a sensation, Ronaldo Jr. says it will be interesting to see if the 18-year-old Barcelona star can match his father’s good fortune in the coming years.
