She arrived in the UK wearing a ‘New York’ sweater, but Taylor Swift was looking like a strong London convert by the very next morning, having arrived in the city on Tuesday night.
The American country-singer-turned-pop Goddess enjoyed everything from her very-British chauffeur driven car to monogrammed TS pillows at her London hotel as she promoted her new single Shake It Off in the country.
Taylor channeled UK fashion icon Victoria Beckham in an all-black ensemble on Wednesday as she wore her handbag on her elbow and put on a leggy display in the city centre, having fallen asleep on bespoke bedding the previous night.
Laying her head on a monogrammed TS pillow she told her Instagram followers: ‘As it turns out, you don’t know how much you love monogrammed pillows until London provides you with monogrammed pillows.’
Fresh from a comfortable night in a plush city centre hotel, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter paraded her slender pins as she climbed from the rear of her chauffeur driven car on Wednesday morning.
Sporting a form-fitting black mini dress and highly distinctive strappy heels, Taylor caught the eye during her first public outing since touching down in the early hours of the morning.
She’s currently promoting her new single Shake It Up, which is set for chart success in the UK, much like her previous album Red, which charted at number one there.
Taylor’s previous associations with London have included male best friend Ed Sheeran, whom she toured with last year, but also ex-boyfriend and One Direction band member Harry Styles.
Singing sensation Taylor was even rumoured to be house-hunting in North-West London late last year while dating the boyband heartthrob.
Arriving in the country the previous evening, Taylor disembarked from the light aircraft wearing an oversized ‘New York’ sweater and a form-fitting leather mini skirt.
The reason for her stop over is currently unknown, but with the start of iTunes Festival taking place in the city this week, some are speculating that Taylor might make a surprise appearance.
Meanwhile, it looks like the Grammy-winning starlet will sadly still have strong ties with the US as she has reportedly signed up to be an adviser on the seventh season of the hit NBC show The Voice, according to Us Weekly.
A source tells the magazine that the popstar will be taking on a similar role to Coldplay’s Chris Martin had in season six.
Taylor will be advising wannabe singers across all four teams – and she will not be the only new face to join the all-star rotating cast.
Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams have joined as coaches working alongside old hands Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
‘Taylor was an absolute pleasure to work with,’ a source on the show tells the publication.
‘She had great feedback for all the contestants. She made for an amazing mentor.’
Taylor has been busy working on her new album this year, which is due for release on October 27, a little over a month after the new season of the show kicks off on September 22.
